What was once just a beloved hobby and “passion project,” turned into this small business called Daph’s Kitchen.
This small business started out with just me, an idea, and my Kitchen Aid in quarantine. Between my day job and being a student, there wasn’t a lot of time to bake until the pandemic. During this time, I took advantage of the time I had and spent a lot of the days baking and creating recipes.
After a couple of months of trial and error, my friends and family pushed me to turn my hobby into a business. At the end of May 2020, Daph’s Kitchen was created on the business side of Instagram (Instagram Page: @daphs.kitchen).

Along with other amazing small businesses, this project was created during quarantine to share and connect through baked goods. From crinkle cookies to letter cakes, many of our signature flavors are inspired by my Filipino/Asian roots. Flavors such as Ube, Matcha, and Pandan are incorporated throughout our rotating menus for order weeks. There are specific weeks where we take orders which are always announced on our Instagram page. We have made ordering a quick and easy process by utilizing google forms to record all orders.

For letter and number cakes, we require at least a two-week notice. Our cakes make the perfect birthday or anniversary gift. Cake ordering and information can be found on our link tree on Instagram.
As the business continues to grow, new products and flavors continue to be added to the menu. About a year and almost 1,000 followers later, we continue to look forward to growing and serving the tri-city area and beyond. Please support your local/small businesses!
