Materials needed:
- Paper bag (we used a lunch size bag)
- Tissue paper (we got a package with 5 colors from the Dollar Tree)
- Candy or small toys for inside the pinata
- Scissors
- Glue
- String
- Staple gun
First you need to put the candy or toys in the bag. Then cut strips from the tissue paper that are 3 inches wide and the length of the tissue and strips that are 1 inch wide and the length of the tissue. Use the left over tissue paper to stuff the bag. We stapled our bag closed.
Take the 3 inch wide strips and use your scissors to make them look like fringe. Cut about 3/4 of the way up the strip and about 2 to 3 inches apart.
Glue the strips around the bag making sure to only get glue on top of the strips. You don't want to glue down your fringe. Be sure to start at the bottom.
After the fringe is on the bag, take the 1 inch strips and glue them to the bottom of the bag as tails. Now you can put a string on the top and hang the pinata.
