Every summer many of our local churches offer free or low-cost Vacation Bible School (VBS) sessions for kids. This is not only a great resource provided to the tri-city community, but it is also a wonderful time for children to learn great social skills and morals, meet new friends, and have lots of fun!
Check out the following Vacation Bible Schools in Fremont, Newark, and Union City and see if any will work with your summer schedule.

Bay Area Baptist Church "Twists & Turns": July 10 to July 13, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Closing ceremony Sunday, July 16 at 10:30 am with Kona Ice. Children ages 4 years old through 6th grade are welcome. Free program.
Bridges Community Church "Tales from the Gold Mine": July 10 to July 13, 2023, from 8:45 am to noon. Children ages 4.5 by 7/1/23 through kids entering 6th grade in fall 2023 are welcome. $65 by June 25th (t-shirt included); $70 after June 25th (t-shirt not included).
Calvary Chapel "Stellar: Shine Jesus' Light: June 26 to June 30, 2023, from 9:00 am to noon. Register today for kids entering 1st through 7th grade.
Centerville Presbyterian Church "Power Up": June 24 to June 27, 2021,
from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Children who are in preschool (3 years old and potty trained) through 5th grade are welcome. $20 per child.
No VBS for 2023.
Chinese Independent Baptist Church "Twists and Turns": July 10 to July 14, 2023, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm; extended care available from 3:30 until 5:00 pm. VBS Carnival July 15 at 10:30 am. Children in kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome. $70 for VBS and lunch is included; extended care available for an additional $10 with snacks included. Registration closes June 25, 2023.
Fremont Community Church: TWO weeks! Kids Summer Camp June 12 to June 16, 2023, from 9:00 am to noon for children in kindergarten through 5th grade and FCC Theatre Camp AUDITIONS June 6, 2023.
Grace Church "Heroes in Training Day Camp": July 11 to July 13, 2022, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Children ages 3 to 11 are welcome. Register online by July 5th. $35 registration fee.
No VBS for 2023.
Haven Christian Community Church "Babylon: Daniel's Courage in Captivity": June 22 to June 24, 2023, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Children in 1st to 6th grade are welcome Register online.
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Musical Theater Camp: Rehearsals June 19 to June 23, 2023, from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. Performances June 23 at 6:30 pm (arrival time 5:45) and June 25 at 10 am (arrival time 9:15). Children ages K through 8th grade are welcome. Early Bird $225, after June 1st $250. Snacks provided. Register online.
Hope Community Church "Roar": July 22 to July 26, 2021,
from 12:45 pm to 4:00 pm. Children ages 5 to 12 years old are welcome (must speak and understand English). $30 per child (t-shirt included).
No VBS for 2023.
Irvington Presbyterian Church "Camp Out": June 23, 2023, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, June 24, 2023, 9:00 am to 11:30 am, and June 25, 2023, at 10:00 am. Children in kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome. $10 per child, or no more than $25 per family (scholarships available).
New Life Gospel Chinese Christian Church: June 12 to June 16, 2023, from 9:30 am to noon. Email newlifegccc11@gmail.com for more info.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish: August 7 to August 11, 2023, from 8:30 am to noon. Children in TK through 5th grade are welcome (child must be 4 by July 2022). $60/child; $50/per sibling; max $180/family includes snacks and t-shirt.
Prince of Peace "Stellar: Shine Jesus' Light": July 17 to July 21, 2023, from 9:00 am to noon. Children ages 4 through 7th grade are welcome. VBS is free.
St. James' Episcopal Church: July 24 to July 28, 2023, from 9:00 am to noon. Children entering TK through 8th grade are welcome. $35/child; $60 for two siblings; and $90 for three or more siblings (late registration will be an additional $10 per child). Camp t-shirt provided.
St. Paul Methodist Church VBS: July 17 to July 21, 2023. Register with the church office Wednesday through Friday mornings.
Tri-City Chinese Baptist Church: 2023 info not yet available.
Cedars Church "Go Big Day Camp": July 31 to August 4, 2023, from 9:00 am to noon. Kids will explore, do fun crafts/games, and learn about Jesus with a different daily theme. VBS is for children in Pre-K through 5th Grade.
First Presbyterian Church of Newark: 2023 info not yet available.
Grace of God Alliance Church:
July 15 to July 19, 2021, from 9:30 am to noon. Children ages 2.5 (potty trained) through 6th grade are welcome. $60 for morning VBS; extended care during afternoon program available for an additional $50.
No VBS for 2023.
Saint Anne Catholic Church:
August 5 to August 9, 2021, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Children in grades 1 through 8 are welcome. $75 for one child; $125 for two children; $150 for three children.
