The playground at Lake Elizabeth/Central Park nearest the Community Center is designed for younger kids, but has one section with taller slides and climbing, to keep slightly older ones busy. The south side has climbing and slides for smaller kids and there is a rope climbing structure in the middle for all ages. There are also baby swings and standard swings. The ground cover is rubber cushion.
There is very little shade, although there are grassy areas under the trees on either side for picnics. There are benches around the perimeter and you can easily see the entire play area from one spot. There is also a water fountain by the playground.
There is parking right near the park. It can get crowded on weekends and summer evenings.
There are bathrooms a short distance from the playground. There is a sidewalk that easily connects this playground with the 2-mile path around Lake Elizabeth and other playgound areas.
