The 2024-25 Winter Break Camps at Code Ninjas includes a list of exciting new camps and classic Code Ninjas Camps with Winter Twist. This year, it is a single day schedule. You get to pick whichever days work best for you and your schedule and you get to select from a multitude of creative and engaging STEM classes. You can see the entire camp list below!
New Camp Descriptions:
AI Explorers: Understanding Artificial Intelligence [8+]
As AI takes over the world (just kidding) (kind of), give your kid a fun head start! This winter-themed camp is the ultimate playground for ages 8+ to dive into the realm of Artificial Intelligence. Ninjas will work in a guided environment to complete coding exercises, interactive AI-powered games, and creative challenges while whipping up winter-themed art and music like tech-savvy elves. They’ll also get to explore the mysterious world of semantic networks – that’s fancy talk for how AI thinks. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any cooler, they’ll train the Teachable Machine with different data samples to create and test their very own AI-driven models. Snow much fun!
Dashing Through the Code: Snow Games [8+]
Immerse your child in the frosty fun of game design! Ninjas will start with the basics before leveling up to build three unique winter-inspired games. Beginning with starter game templates, kids will explore and design platformer games, randomness, and different player challenges, all with a chilly twist. And bonus! Camp wraps up with an epic winter gamejam, where Ninjas create their own snow-covered games. Whether your kid is a Microsoft MakeCode Arcade novice or an experienced game creator, this camp will elevate their skills and bring their winter gaming visions to life in a uniquely cool and imaginative setting!
Minecraft and Roblox. (Yep, BOTH!) [8+]
Check out this winter wonderland where Minecraft and Roblox join forces for an epic camp experience. It’s the perfect place for Ninjas to discover their potential on the developer side of the games they already love. They’ll start out with MCreator to design festive weapons and code magical enchantments in Minecraft. Then moving into Roblox Studio to master its tools, Ninjas will defend snow forts in epic snowball fights, design icy escape rooms, and create their own wintry adventures! Designed for both beginners and experts, kids will have tons of fun pushing their limits in platforms they thought they knew.
Polar Programming with Python [8+]
Don’t let your kid get brain freeze this winter! Warm up their brain cells at Code Ninjas Python camp! They’ll dive into the world of Python: they code their own sprites to move around and even chase each other, making your child look like the coding wizard they are. Ninjas will design scenes, conquer tilemaps, and cozy up with loops and splash screens. Who knew coding could be this cool (or warm)? Sign your child up today and make winter break even better!
Snowtastic STEM: Glacier Edition [8+]
The only thing cooler than the weather outside is the tech your Ninjas will be working with inside. Projects vary based on the day, but they’re all cooler than an ice pop in a snowstorm. Imagine your kid as a secret agent, but instead of saving the world, they’re safely deciphering secret messages from fellow Ninjas. Next up: Forget ugly holiday sweaters. We’re talking next-level fashion here. Ninjas will explore the cutting edge of winter wearable technology. Moving along, real snowflakes are so last century - Ninjas will get hands-on experience with 3D printing, creating intricate snowflakes that won’t melt in their hands (or pockets). On another day, Ninjas will become circuit sleuths, working on projects that light up, buzz, or do whatever else their creative minds can dream up.
