Kids Obstacle Challenge is the #1 obstacle course race series for kids ages 5-16 in the country and the best kids event to hit the Bay Area. Our mission is to build brave and perseverant kids, and forge family bonds, through obstacles and adventure. Kids need to be challenged so that they can discover the power that lies within them. When kids overcome a challenge, it shows them what they are capable of, instilling confidence and self-reliance.
The most anticipated family-friendly event of the year will be charging into the Bay Area on August 10-11, 2019 at Coyote Point Recreation Area in San Mateo, CA. The gorgeous waterfront of Coyote Point Recreation Area was originally an island connected to the mainland by only a marsh, and the Eucalyptus, Cypress, and Pine trees it is known for were planted in 1880.
At Kids Obstacle Challenge, we encourage parents and caregivers to get out and active alongside their kids, so we allow two parents/legal guardians to run for FREE with their child(ren)! Show your kids the importance of an active lifestyle by participating with them, all while having a blast and spending quality time as a family. Kids Obstacle Challenge offers a fun and challenging 1.5-2 mile course, specially made for our San Mateo kids event. The course includes 15+ obstacles that range in difficulty. Families will enjoy traversing rock walls, army crawling through mud pits, rope swinging over water, scaling up rugged cargo nets, and more!
