Merry Christmas!

By Jennifer Hill - Macaroni KID Fremont Publisher December 4, 2022

Crippsmas Place is a Cheerful Holiday Display in a Fremont neighborhood. You will enjoy over 70 houses on six streets glowing with holiday lights and unique plywood cut-out decorations featuring classic and contemporary characters from cartoons, movies, and more.

You can drive or stroll on the sidewalks of Nicolet Avenue and cul-de-sacs Nicolet Place, Asquith Place, Cripps Place, and especially Wellington Place. At the end of Wellington Place, free candy canes are handed out from 6-10pm from Saturday, December 11th through Saturday, December 25th, and cash donations are accepted which benefit six charities. You can also make your donations online.

Crippsmas Place is open from Saturday, December 10th to Saturday, December 31st, from 6-10pm. See CrippsmasPlace.org to learn more.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there from 6 to 9pm on December 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, and 19th. They ask that visitors who want to meet with Santa and Mrs. Claus to please wear face masks.

From December 11th through December 28th, volunteers will be handing out free candy canes at the end of Wellington Place.

Macaroni KID Mom Tip: Take the kids for a stroll in the daytime for them to check out the fun character cut-outs and take their time doing so. When my kids were younger we used to do this several times each season and they loved it - and we got some great photos, too!

Check out the video we took during the day a few years ago.
