🎃 Halloween Buy Back Locations

By Jennifer Hill - Macaroni Kid Fremont Publisher October 26, 2018

It's almost Halloween and like many households, my kids are going to end up with WAY TOO MUCH CANDY! Typically, I allow my kids to enjoy a few pieces of candy on Halloween and then they get to go through it and pick out a certain number of pieces of their favorites. Then I do my best to get it out of the house as soon as possible.  If you feel the same, find a location where the kids can "sell" their candy and get it out of the house and keep it out of their mouths!

  • Chong Orthodontics Kids can receive $1 per pound of candy (5 pound max). All donors will be entered in the office raffle for a chance to win additional prizes. All candy will be donated to Hope 4 the Heart. Candy will be collected throughout early November. For more information on candy collection dates and times, visit chongorthodontics.com. 33800 Alvarado-Niles Road, #1, Union City (510) 489-5671
  • Pacific Bay Pediatric Dentistry Kids can trade their candy for a special toy through November 15th. 38024 Martha Avenue, Fremont (510) 404-8033
  • Pearl Orthodontics Kids can stop by on Saturday, November 3rd from 8am to 3pm with candy to send to the troops and write a thank you card for them as well. Pearl Orthodontics doesn't "pay" the kids anything for their donation, but this is a great way to teach kids to thank our troops AND get rid of the candy in the house. 39572 Stevenson Place, Suite #222, Fremont (510) 697-6453
  • SLIM Fitness Kids can drop their candy off to donate to Operation Gratitude. Just drop it off and they will ship it to the troops. Open Saturdays 7:30 to 8:30 am and Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. 5437 Central Avenue, Suite #3, Newark (510) 378-6615

Sadly, I was only able to find one participating location in the tri-city area, but you can check here for more locations around the Bay Area. Please BE SURE to call for details as I called one in Newark that they have listed and they are not participating this year.
