Who doesn't love fresh juice and/or smoothies? My kids LOVE enjoy having a smoothie for a "treat" any time, any day. And juice is an extreme treat as I'd rather they eat whole fruits and veggies. So imagine their delight when we received this awesome Hurricane Compact Juicing Blender to review!
Of course, we got right to work. We went through the recipe book and we decided that first we would make the Pineapple Mint Juice. With just two ingredients plus water, this was easy, nutritious, yummy and refreshing! Fresh pineapple, mint leaves, and water created a juice that I would allow my kids to enjoy on a regular basis!
Later that afternoon, I suggested to the kids that we make a smoothie. Their choice was the Tropical Vitamin C Smoothie. With kale, mango, pineapple, papaya and orange juice, this one was a winner. Super refreshing, but also a great way to sneak in some extra good-for-you greens added to all that Vitamin C. The kids loved it and asked for one the next day for breakfast.
With all of the incredible recipes and ideas I will be able to create with this new appliance, I know it will get a ton of use and has already become one of our favorite kitchen items.
In addition to blending fresh juices and smoothies, you can also make healthy baby food, breadcrumbs, frozen cocktails (yum!), salad dressings, soups, salsa, mayonnaise, chop nuts, and so much more!
The nice thing about the Hurricane Compact Juicing Blender is that it is small, yet powerful. With a 1+ Peak HP motor, it easily breaks down whole fruits and vegetables in the included BPA-Free chopper cup.
