National Costume Swap Day

Save the Date and your Costumes!!

By Adapted from Dana Verhoff September 27, 2012
We are looking for some volunteers to help out sorting and setting up before and helping during and after the upcoming Halloween Costume Swap! Are you available? Do you want to have an opportunity to "swap" before everyone else? Would you like to help us?? Please say yes! And then click HERE to sign up! One lucky volunteer will be given a family four pack of tickets to the upcoming Disney On Ice as a thank you!

What's that you say? It's too early to start thinking about Halloween costumes? Not if you are thinking about ways to minimize waste and maximize fun! There's no better way to do that for Halloween than joining us in National Costume Swap Day.

A costume swap is recycling at its most fun. Kids get new-to-them costumes and parents get to save money and the planet. National Costume Swap Day is the brainchild of Corey and Lynn, moms who founded a grassroots, non-profit known as Green Halloween. Macaroni Kid is planning to bring this event to our community with a DROP-SWAP-SHOP!

Before you toss out that "old" costume or head to the store to buy a new one, plan to participate in National Costume Swap Day on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 5 to 7 at Pacific West Gymnastics in Union City. Pac West will be offering an Open Gym during the swap for just $5 per child, if you'd like to keep your kids busy while you "swap!"

If you are a local business and would like to sponsor this awesome event, please contact me asap to discuss! There are many opportunities available! Email: jenh@macaronikid.com.

Drop-off locations and more details will be announced soon!
