Every summer many of our local churches offer free or low-cost Vacation Bible School (VBS) sessions for kids. This is not only a great resource provided to the tri-city community, but it is also a wonderful time for children to learn great social skills and morals, meet new friends, and have lots of fun!
Check out the following Vacation Bible Schools in Fremont, Newark, and Union City and see if any will work with your summer schedule.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Musical Theater Camp: This year's performance will be 100% Chance of Rain. A musical retelling of the Old Testament story of Noah's ark. Over the course of one week, we will explore the story in song with two performances.
Rehearsals will be June 23 to June 27, 2025, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Performances June 27 at 6:30 pm and June 29 at 10:00 am.
Children ages K through 8th grade are welcome. $125 for one student, $200 for two students, and $300 for three or more students.
Bay Area Baptist Church "Twists & Turns":
July 10 to July 13, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Closing ceremony Sunday, July 16 at 10:30 am with Kona Ice. Children ages 4 years old through 6th grade are welcome. Free program. WAITING FOR 2025 UPDATE.
Bridges Community Church "Kids Summer Camp": July 14 to July 17, 2025, from 8:45 am to noon. Children 4 years old by 7/1/25 through kids entering 6th grade in fall 2025 are welcome. $70 by June 29th (t-shirt included); $85 after June 30th (t-shirt not included); walk-ins accepted if space is available for $85 (t-shirt not included).
Calvary Chapel "True North": June 23 to June 27, 2025, from 9:00 am to noon. Register today for kids entering 1st through 7th grade.
Centerville Presbyterian Church: Children who are in preschool (3 years old and potty trained) through 5th grade are welcome. $20 per child.
No VBS for 2024.
Chinese Independent Baptist Church "True North": July 7 to July 11, 2025, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm; extended care available from 3:30 until 5:00 pm. VBS Carnival July 12. Children in kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome. Registration closes June 23, 2025.
Cornerstone Faith Ministries "Magnified" Kids Festival: June 27 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, June 28 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and June 29 from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. Children ages 4 to 14 years old (Pre-K to 8th grade). Registration fee $10.
Fremont Community Church "Sports Camp": August 8 and August 9, 2025, from 9:00 am to noon and August 10 and August 12, 2025 from noon to 2:30 pm for children entering 3rd through 6th grade for $30 per student.
Grace Church "Heroes in Training Day Camp": July 11 to July 13, 2022, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Children ages 3 to 11 are welcome. Register online by July 5th. $35 registration fee.

St. James' Episcopal Church: July 21 to July 25, 2025, from 9:00 am to noon. Children entering TK through 7th grade are welcome. $35/child; $60 for two siblings; and $80 for three or more siblings (late registration will be an additional $10 per child). Teen volunteers welcome.
St. Paul Methodist Church "Scuba": July 22 to July 26, 2024. Register with the church office Wednesday through Friday mornings. WAITING FOR 2025 UPDATE.
Tri-City Chinese Baptist Church: July 14 to 18, 2025, from 9:00 am to noon.
Victory Baptist Church "Heroes of the Faith": June 9 to June 13, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. For children ages 6 to 11 years old. Free VBS.
Cedars Church "Go Big Day Camp": July 21 to July 25, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Through scripture, song and engaging learning games, your child(ren) will hear about the God who loves them, knows them, and wants them to know Him better. Each day will be a fun different theme! We will dig deep into the Bible learning about the BIG GOD STORY and how we all fit into His Story! VBS is for children in Pre-K through 5th Grade.
Haven Christian Community Church "True North": June 19 to June 21, 2025, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Children in 1st to 6th grade are welcome.
