The movie is available now on Digital and on Blu-ray and DVD on October 11th and features some great laughs for the whole family. The movie is rated PG-13, so it is a great movie to share with your older kids as a family.

I'm going to start with the obvious - it's always fun to experience a movie that has "ties to your past." If you have seen the original, you will enjoy the similarities, as well as the cameos and references to the previous film. Fans will enjoy seeing Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts. These touches were fun.

Ghostbusters stars four of the funniest ladies of entertainment - Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. And Chris Hemsworth is surprisingly funny! The laughs were plenty with parents and kids alike laughing along.

I don't feel that this is a "scary movie", by any means. There was one instance where it startled a few people, but it wasn't scary. Sure, there are supernatural beings, but they weren't exactly scary. But know your child and pre-screen it if you are unsure how they will do.

Ghostbusters is definitely the perfect film to show for a fun Halloween movie party. Gather some friends and get together to enjoy the movie with a group. Check out our Pinterest board for some ideas!

Get your hands on the movie! The extended edition has 15 more minutes not seen in theaters, over 3 hours of bonus features including a hilarious gag reel and deleted scenes. My kids always love watching these.
